It’s Tuesday Morning! #25

Hello, It’s still Tuesday right?

Ok, I have a few hours left.. Today I am using the paint I found at Tuesday Morning.   Chalkboard paint in red and green, perfect for a Holiday project.   I am also using the white chalkboard marker.

Supplies I used from Tuesday Morning. Red & Green Chalkboard Paint & White Chalkboard paint marker.

I ordered a wooden #2 and #5 for an easy and fun Holiday project. Using the chalkboard paint from Tuesday Morning I painted the numbers with the red paint and added the green for the polka dots. I used the white marker to highlight the polka dots. I will have to make another set since I was playing with the green paint a little and too much of the paint spread. However you can still get an idea of how cute and easy this project is.

You can see the white around the #2. You can also see the #5 needs to be touched up before I go around the polka dots with the white marker.

Tuesday Morning usually has a collection of glitter paints, fabric tapes.. or if you lucky your Tuesday Morning might still have these paints left.. pick them up!

I will be back next Tuesday with my Tuesday Morning Ribbon Trees.

Let’s “Wrap It Up” with a December Challenge.

The year is almost over and we are onto our last challenge of the year.

“Wrap It Up” is the theme for our December Challenge. Here is a look at what a few of the designers did with the theme.

Here is a picture of the goodies our December Challenge winner will receive.. the picture is horrible so I will take a new one tomorrow.. I promise it is a fun collection of supplies.

For this challenge use your imagination… WRAP IT UP.. use wrapping paper, show off your best wrapped gift, do a layout showing pics of your kiddos opening up a gift, create a card or ornament that looks like a present.. create a tag for a gift, just as long as we can tell you followed our theme of Wrap It Up!

Share a link to your actual post, share our challenge with your friends, and you can enter up to 2 projects. Check back on January 1st to see if you won.. and speaking of winners.. our November Challenge winner was #26 Mabel Sim. Congrats and message me your address so we can send you a package for winning the November Challenge.

It’s Tuesday Morning! Christmas Tree~

Happy Tuesday Morning!

If it’s cold, icy, or snowing where you are then it’s a perfect day to stay inside to make a quick, unique and fun Holiday gift. Using Tuesday Morning supplies of course!

This is another Christmas Tree idea that has been around for a long time, I first seen a few of them on Pinterest.  Of course every time I see one on-line they look a little different, everyone gets pretty creative with them. I personally prefer using vintage thread spools or a vintage candle stick holder.
If you want to see the cutest trees ever and learn how to make them step by step, then you need to see Margie Romney-Aslett’s Spark the Event workshops.   Margie makes them and hosts on-line workshops teaching you how to make them with her own personal flair. She sells them as kits or you can take her on-line classes.   Please view her site for her Spark The Event classes.   Margie has a class for every season/holiday.   I have only had time for one so far.. but if I had the time I would take them all.  Margie picks up most of her supplies from Target or the dollar store.  So treat yourself to a class with Margie, then you can get started creating your own special homemade Christmas gifts.

Here is my version of the paper tree I made.  I used a few of Margie’s ideas and a few of my own.  I am using  some supplies from Tuesday Morning .   I love the gold textured napkins, the gold and silver trims from the Christmas wrapping area, and the tiny burlap bows that i found in the paper crafts area.

All 4 of these items were purchased at Tuesday Morning.

I cut up the entire pack of napkins into a variety of sizes.. all circles of course.

A few of my layers of goodies. Cupcake wrappers, doilies, vintage music note paper, coffee filters, and more!

Mini bows are on one tree, notice the gold bow and see the layers of napkins.

A few of my trees.. ready to be delivered to a few of my favorite friends. I have about 10 more to make.

I didn’t give you too many directions or a fabulous supply list because I want you to check out the
Spark Your Event workshops!  And if you do.. please tell her I sent you!

Have a great trip to your local Tuesday Morning to stock up on some fun trims, napkins, and mini bows.
