I saw the sign….giveaway~

Hello Wednesday!  Are you ready for a giveaway?   Today’s giveaway will be for  a wooden, double-sided sign.  Yep, a sign~ You can alter it anyway you want.  Here is an example of one I just did this week.  One side is painted in chalk board paint, so I can use it for a list or a quick note.  The other side is more of a decoration, but I did add 2 clothes pin clips and some sticky notes.    There is also a frame so I can add a picture.  I love the chair paper from October Afternoon so I put a limit on my decorations.

Products I used October Afternoon paper: Sunday Dinner, Church Social, & Guest Room, yellow acrylic paint, chalkboard paint, Craft wood letters EAT, Tim Holtz button, clock, spinner, knob & distress ink, black frame from home decor department @ Hannah’s, 2 clothes pins, a few clear buttons, chipboard house, May Arts trim, K & Co smash tape, Chalk, Maya Road heart, Rosette Die, and bakers twine.

October Afternoon: Let's Eat Kitchen Sign

Here are a few examples of other signs I made for Hannah’s.

The signs are fun to decorate for a kids room, seasonal decoration, chalk boards, kids photo college, or make up your own sign.  I bet you have an idea of what you would do with it.. however the giveaway is on the Hannah’s blog, so please follow me over there for your chance to win.  You will see a very similar post that is where you want to leave your comment if you want to win the sign.  I will also be posting my sign with Work In Progress Monday’s at ScrapScene.  I love that site~

Crate Paper Love~

Who doesn’t love Crate Paper?  I love the Emma’s Shoppe Collection & the Neighborhood Collection.  Here I used both collections of the Layered Chipboard stickers on this 7 Gypsies frame.  I also used the 6×6 Emma’s Shoppe paper, Pink Paislee’s felt flowers, a mini chalk board, a few misc. flowers, and Doodle Bug Twine.  This is going to be on display over at Hannah’s in Antioch, Illinois.  Stop there to pick up the products you need to make your frame.  If you don’t live near them they will send you the products, just call.  847-395-3355  ask for Dana or Jill.  I added a few random pictures of my girls and used glossy accents to keep everything in place.

Here Kitty, Kitty…Altered Art Kids Class @ Hannah’s

What will we be making, you ask?   How about a mini shadow box frame?   Here is a “cat” version.  Your child will choose between cats or dogs.  You will need to bring a 5×7 photo of your child/children w/ their pet.    Here is my daughter with a cat from a farm we visited.

Melissa’s House & A Challenge: Melissa Frances Products

I am a huge fan of Melissa Frances and I have really enjoyed using her Deck the Halls themed paper this month.  When Hannah’s (Scrapbook Headquarters in Antioch)  asked me to alter this house for their display I knew I would use this paper.  I tried really hard to not use any of my other favorite products.  I usually have a button, a little ribbon, and some kind of hardware of Tim Holtz, but take a look, no ribbon, no buttons, and no Tim.

Products I used:  MF 6×6 Deck the Halls paper, MF Deck the Halls holiday Cardstock Stickers, embellishments: 1 Dorchester, 4 Edwardian Frames, 1 set of the sculpture embellishments, & 1 mini holiday “Merry” flash card.  Other items used:  Glossy Accents, Perfect pearls, Snow Writer, sanding sticks, leaf green acrylic paint, heat gun, extreme glitter red paint.

I would love to challenge you to make something using some of your favorite Melissa Frances Products.  It can be any of her products, new or old.  It can even be a card, layout, or an altered item.  The challenge will run from December 8th to December 29th.. yep 3 weeks to play with your favorite MF products.  The winning project will be announced on December 30th.

Love Challenges?  Check out this awesome Challenge Site for more Challenges: http://scrapchallenge.com/

I hope you enjoy using MF products as much as I do.  The lucky winner will receive these goodies:

Altered Art Projects for Hannah’s

Little Yellow Bicycle Ski Sweater Winter Day

Melissa Frances Deck The Halls Altered Art Frame

7 Gypsies & Graphic 45 School Day Sign

Here are 3 projects I just turned into Hannah’s in Antioch to use as a Display.. stop by to pick up your supplies to make your own.

The 1st project is a frame that I decorated with Little Yellow Bicycle Ski Sweater paper, glitter chipboard shapes, pebbles green buttons and Tim Holtz knob & corners.  Glossy Accents Adhesive

The 2nd project was a different frame & I used Melissa Frances Deck the Halls paper and stickers.  Tim Holtz knob, ornate plate, corners and paints/stains/inks.  Glossy Accents Adhesive

The 3rd project is the back side of the frame that I did “one post” ago.  I know it looks like the frame I did earlier, but I wanted to use up the rest of the supplies and put something on the back of the sign.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think…
