Favorite Things Friday! Dies…

OMG.. yep it’s been a couple of weeks..  I missed my Friday’s Favorite things post, somehow they flew right past me.

So I am a little behind.  Some of my designers already did this post a few weeks ago, so I apologize if you go looking for their posts today.

Today I am sharing  pictures of our favorite dies.

As you can see the Tim Holtz Dies, My Favorite Things, Spellbinders, and Sizzix dies are our favorites.

If you have a Favorite Die that is not pictured feel free to link it up below.  Next weeks favorite things is going to be Favorite Embellishments, so get ready!

Have a great weekend.

Where am I ?? Good question~

The snow has finally melted off of the top of our pool, now I know, Spring is on its way!    I love the changing of seasons!  I use that as a perfect time to make a few changes in my personal life and business life.

I am often asked, “Where are you working now?  Where are you teaching?  Who are you working for?”  Then I have to ask myself.. Really? Where am I?

Coincidently I just updated my “working” resume and my “craft” resume.  I am surprised how often changes are made to the craft resume.  Mainly just adding new locations or changing the dates of past design team terms.  However, when I answer those questions about where I am, most of the time the answers are the same.

I am still the Paper Craft Instructor at the Kenosha Hobby Lobby, in fact I have been there since 2009.   I still have my ties to the Kenosha Public Museum, area schools, the country club, and stores.  But most of the time I am teaching in my home studio and classroom.  I have a few proposals on the table for a few other locations to start teaching at.. but that’s on hold till we finalize the details.  I am still a Close To My Heart consultant and of course the owner of my Scrap It Girl business.  I am a full-time paper craft instructor, designer, and retailer.

My classes range from Scrapbooking, Card Making, Tool & Technique classes, Cricut Classes, Kids Crafts, Home/Holiday Décor,  Mixed Media and Altered Art.   I teach about 2-5 classes per week, but every week is different.  I am currently scheduling myself at the Kenosha Hobby Lobby 2 times per month and 2 times per month at other locations.  The rest of the classes will be in my home studio.    Another huge question I get is.. how do I find out about your classes?  Easy answer.. just ask me, message me, or call me.   My class schedule, info, price, and additional info, is emailed out once a week.   I do have a class every Tuesday at 9:30-11:30 a.m and 5:30-7:30 p.m.   I usually have Kids Classes on Friday’s.  My private classes are all over the place, same with group events.  But I am available to teach pretty much any day or time of the week, as long as you let me know in advance.  This is my full-time job, so I try to meet with you according to your schedule.  I also have women that schedule private classes for groups of their friends.  I have had bridal shower parties come in and make what they need for a brides wedding, a baby shower class, and even a graduation party.  I can either help with the ideas of planning, decorating, or maybe just renting out my tables and party props.   I also make party invites, decorations, and help set up.

Here are just a few pictures of recent happenings…

Scrap It Girl’s 2014 Design Team

Wow.. what a great turn out for my 1st Design Team Call. I have had a design team since 2011 but this was my first Design Team Call. I was completely surprised by the amount of people who wanted to be a part of my team. All 6 girls from the 2013 team are remaining on for the 2014 team, so I was only able to add 10 new girls. I did have help going through the process.. and as designers were picked they were introduced over the last week or so. Today I am happy to share all 16 girls photos, the date they started, and their home town. Click on their image to visit their blogs.

Thank you again to everyone who applied.  Please check back often as I will have a Contributor Call for one of my other sites, very soon!

Also just a reminder to check out our Monthly Challenges & our Favorite Things Friday posts.. you are all welcome to link up your projects!

Last but not Least~meet designer Amelia!

Hi my name is Amelia Harris and I live in Preston, ID. I’m 34 years old, married to the love of my life. We have 3 beautiful little girls (11, 9, 7 years old) that definitely keep me on my toes! I love to cook & especially bake! Just don’t make me clean up my mess afterwards! ;) I was introduced to paper crafting in 2004 and I fell head over heals in love with it! I was a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator for 3 years with my main focus on cards. But since then my focus has changed, and my favorite has become scrapbooking, 12×12 layouts, as I try to catch up on my daughters scrapbooks. I still enjoy card making, just don’t do them as frequently. I don’t really think I have a set style. I love to try new techniques and am always up for a challenge. I am so thrilled to be part of the Scrap It Girl Design Team!  Let the fun begin! :)
