I saw the sign….giveaway~

Hello Wednesday!  Are you ready for a giveaway?   Today’s giveaway will be for  a wooden, double-sided sign.  Yep, a sign~ You can alter it anyway you want.  Here is an example of one I just did this week.  One side is painted in chalk board paint, so I can use it for a list or a quick note.  The other side is more of a decoration, but I did add 2 clothes pin clips and some sticky notes.    There is also a frame so I can add a picture.  I love the chair paper from October Afternoon so I put a limit on my decorations.

Products I used October Afternoon paper: Sunday Dinner, Church Social, & Guest Room, yellow acrylic paint, chalkboard paint, Craft wood letters EAT, Tim Holtz button, clock, spinner, knob & distress ink, black frame from home decor department @ Hannah’s, 2 clothes pins, a few clear buttons, chipboard house, May Arts trim, K & Co smash tape, Chalk, Maya Road heart, Rosette Die, and bakers twine.

October Afternoon: Let's Eat Kitchen Sign

Here are a few examples of other signs I made for Hannah’s.

The signs are fun to decorate for a kids room, seasonal decoration, chalk boards, kids photo college, or make up your own sign.  I bet you have an idea of what you would do with it.. however the giveaway is on the Hannah’s blog, so please follow me over there for your chance to win.  You will see a very similar post that is where you want to leave your comment if you want to win the sign.  I will also be posting my sign with Work In Progress Monday’s at ScrapScene.  I love that site~

Work in Progress 3 out of 4 done~

Last Monday I posted a few photos of what I planned to work on during the week.  Well I did finish 3 of the 4 projects, all while sick on the couch for 3 nights.  The finished projects are all for Hannah’s in Antioch… my LSS.  I am posting all week with them since it is my 1 year anniversary on their design team.  Here are a few photos of a dress form I altered .

The dress forms will be done by each member of the Hannah’s Design Team and put in the store for display.  It will give you an idea of our style and what products we all like.  I picked up this awesome idea at the Winter CHA in Anaheim.  Tim Holtz had given his designer friends all dress forms to alter.  The finished designs were showcased at his booth.  They were all incredible.  I will try to find the links to some of those dress forms and add them to this post later today.

What does my dress form say about me?  Well I originally painted the whole thing pink… which is something I should stop doing…lol  Then as you can see most of the pink is covered up with the skirt, shirt, and apron.  I love polka dots so I used the K & CO tape from their smash books and made the shirt.  I used pink paislee fabric ribbons for my skirt.  I didn’t want to change the color of the skirt since I liked the creams.  I used Prima bling along the base & a few maya road butterflies.  The flying 2 butterflies are from Jenni Bowlin.   The canvas hearts are from Canvas Corp, I sewed them together to form the wings.  For he bottom of the form I used a large art part from Wendy Vecchi and painted it blue and decorated it with liquid pearls.    I made the apron for my dress form since I wear aprons to work, I actually sewed on all of those charms and sewed the seam binding on so it can easily be taken on and off.  I added items to my apron that I like: lipstick, hearts, keys, #2, vintage buttons, clocks, scissors, and a diamond ring~  I couldn’t find my mini starbucks cup, if I do I saved room to add it later.

I will be back tomorrow with the other 2 projects I made.  Hopefully I will have #4 done by Friday.

I will have similar posts all week-long on The Hannah’s Blog,  stop over there as I will be having giveaways starting tomorrow.

I will be listing this project with ScrapScene and their WIP (work in progres)  Monday.   http://www.scrapscene.com/tag/wipmonday.html

Crate Paper Love~

Who doesn’t love Crate Paper?  I love the Emma’s Shoppe Collection & the Neighborhood Collection.  Here I used both collections of the Layered Chipboard stickers on this 7 Gypsies frame.  I also used the 6×6 Emma’s Shoppe paper, Pink Paislee’s felt flowers, a mini chalk board, a few misc. flowers, and Doodle Bug Twine.  This is going to be on display over at Hannah’s in Antioch, Illinois.  Stop there to pick up the products you need to make your frame.  If you don’t live near them they will send you the products, just call.  847-395-3355  ask for Dana or Jill.  I added a few random pictures of my girls and used glossy accents to keep everything in place.

Here Kitty, Kitty…Altered Art Kids Class @ Hannah’s

What will we be making, you ask?   How about a mini shadow box frame?   Here is a “cat” version.  Your child will choose between cats or dogs.  You will need to bring a 5×7 photo of your child/children w/ their pet.    Here is my daughter with a cat from a farm we visited.

Melissa Frances Deck The Halls Altered Art Frame

7 Gypsies & Graphic 45 School Day Sign

Here are 3 projects I just turned into Hannah’s in Antioch to use as a Display.. stop by to pick up your supplies to make your own.

The 1st project is a frame that I decorated with Little Yellow Bicycle Ski Sweater paper, glitter chipboard shapes, pebbles green buttons and Tim Holtz knob & corners.  Glossy Accents Adhesive

The 2nd project was a different frame & I used Melissa Frances Deck the Halls paper and stickers.  Tim Holtz knob, ornate plate, corners and paints/stains/inks.  Glossy Accents Adhesive

The 3rd project is the back side of the frame that I did “one post” ago.  I know it looks like the frame I did earlier, but I wanted to use up the rest of the supplies and put something on the back of the sign.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think…
