I saw the sign….giveaway~

Hello Wednesday!  Are you ready for a giveaway?   Today’s giveaway will be for  a wooden, double-sided sign.  Yep, a sign~ You can alter it anyway you want.  Here is an example of one I just did this week.  One side is painted in chalk board paint, so I can use it for a list or a quick note.  The other side is more of a decoration, but I did add 2 clothes pin clips and some sticky notes.    There is also a frame so I can add a picture.  I love the chair paper from October Afternoon so I put a limit on my decorations.

Products I used October Afternoon paper: Sunday Dinner, Church Social, & Guest Room, yellow acrylic paint, chalkboard paint, Craft wood letters EAT, Tim Holtz button, clock, spinner, knob & distress ink, black frame from home decor department @ Hannah’s, 2 clothes pins, a few clear buttons, chipboard house, May Arts trim, K & Co smash tape, Chalk, Maya Road heart, Rosette Die, and bakers twine.

October Afternoon: Let's Eat Kitchen Sign

Here are a few examples of other signs I made for Hannah’s.

The signs are fun to decorate for a kids room, seasonal decoration, chalk boards, kids photo college, or make up your own sign.  I bet you have an idea of what you would do with it.. however the giveaway is on the Hannah’s blog, so please follow me over there for your chance to win.  You will see a very similar post that is where you want to leave your comment if you want to win the sign.  I will also be posting my sign with Work In Progress Monday’s at ScrapScene.  I love that site~

Crate Paper Love~

Who doesn’t love Crate Paper?  I love the Emma’s Shoppe Collection & the Neighborhood Collection.  Here I used both collections of the Layered Chipboard stickers on this 7 Gypsies frame.  I also used the 6×6 Emma’s Shoppe paper, Pink Paislee’s felt flowers, a mini chalk board, a few misc. flowers, and Doodle Bug Twine.  This is going to be on display over at Hannah’s in Antioch, Illinois.  Stop there to pick up the products you need to make your frame.  If you don’t live near them they will send you the products, just call.  847-395-3355  ask for Dana or Jill.  I added a few random pictures of my girls and used glossy accents to keep everything in place.

Surround yourself with Great People~

Some of my Girlfriends

Oh, the Holidays are here!   For me, I have a hard time with the Holidays.  I don’t have a close relationship with anyone in my immediate family, so I tend to get a little down.  So what do I do?  I surround myself with great people, my friends!
Here is a layout I just did  from a Back to School party I hosted in September.
I am lucky to have so many wonderful friends in my life.  I don’t say it often enough but I do have a great group of strong, positive, beautiful, kind, supportive, talented, and extremely thoughtful  friends.  For me, they are my family!  I also have a wonderful husband, kids, bff’s, and some great Aunts.   So today I am reminding myself of a few quotes that I found that I would share, for those of you, who may also be separated from family for whatever reason.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.  Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.      Mark Twain

Altered Art Projects for Hannah’s

Little Yellow Bicycle Ski Sweater Winter Day

Melissa Frances Deck The Halls Altered Art Frame

7 Gypsies & Graphic 45 School Day Sign

Here are 3 projects I just turned into Hannah’s in Antioch to use as a Display.. stop by to pick up your supplies to make your own.

The 1st project is a frame that I decorated with Little Yellow Bicycle Ski Sweater paper, glitter chipboard shapes, pebbles green buttons and Tim Holtz knob & corners.  Glossy Accents Adhesive

The 2nd project was a different frame & I used Melissa Frances Deck the Halls paper and stickers.  Tim Holtz knob, ornate plate, corners and paints/stains/inks.  Glossy Accents Adhesive

The 3rd project is the back side of the frame that I did “one post” ago.  I know it looks like the frame I did earlier, but I wanted to use up the rest of the supplies and put something on the back of the sign.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think…

7 Gypsies & Graphic 45 ~love them~

Don’t you just love getting those photo packages from school and have no idea what you are going to do with all of the photos?  I don’t like putting 8×10 photos of them on the wall unless it is black & white photos that I took or had professionally done.  This year I have decided to do something with the 5×7 photo that I could keep out and really enjoy looking at.  Yes I love looking at their photos.. I meant enjoy looking at the frame or display.

When I saw the new products from 7 Gypsies and Graphic 45 I knew right away what I would do.  Here is my before and after projects.
