Hello March.. I can’t wait for Spring! Bring on some flowers, warmer weather, and the sunny days. Are you ready for our Go Green & Recycle Challenge? Starting March 1st through March 31st we will be looking forward to seeing your projects. It can be anything recycled: layouts, cards, altered items, home decor, etc… have fun, get creative and go green~ I can’t wait to start going to garage sales, you can find some goodies to use on more recycled projects. Here is what the design team came up with.
- Coffee Bean Tin
Recycled Items are: Coffee Bean Tea Tin, Sock Monkey is stamped on a paper bag, tea cup is cut out of a Stampin' Up catalog, and red trims were scraps and so was the flower! Other design elements: button brad (bought it years ago), Cats Eye to distress the flower, glue dots, foam tape and CM tape runner, Sock Monkey is Stampin' Up, the polka dot trim is Teresa Collins, the red bottom trim is CM. Sock Monkey colored with Crayola pencils, tea cup filled in with CM pens.
- All Items R recycled
All of the saying to the right are cut off of a coffee cup from a local coffee shop, I then inked them, the leather is left over scraps from a bar, left over canvas scraps, playing cards, broken necklace/heart, cardboard back ground, scraps of music note paper from a music book, letters are left over from a kids game. All items were "free" or recycled except for the one piece of pink Tim Holtz paper.
- Hand Mirror
altered hand mirror that has been decorated with paper, bling, and a rose that I made using the neck that I cut off of an old red t-shirt. (One photo is of the entire mirror, and the other photo is a close up of the "recycled" rose).
- Hand Mirror
- Pop Top & Leather
Recycled items used: Leather strap from a candle. Can pop top used as a buckle. And a “Life is Good” tag. Used all scraps for the layout—except for the base. Don’t you always have things that you have cut from the Cricut that were the wrong size? Well, this heart was just laying on my table—so I decided to use it!
- Plastic tags from grocery store: Banner
I used the plastic tags from the grocery store to make the banner.
- Prize
